1 large head of red cabbage, cut into large chunks3/4 cup white vinegar2 quarts waterPlace all ingredients into a large pot and place on high on the stove. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a fast simmer. Cook for 2 hours. Remove from the stove and drain the liquid out into a seal-able jar or bowl. Allow dye to cool completely before using to dye eggs.Makes about 1 1/2 quarts of dye.
