Homemade Whole Wheat Pasta Yum
The nutty flavors of fresh homemade whole wheat pasta are excellent with any dish.

  1. Combine the two flours, salt and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Make a well in the flour and add the eggs and 2 tablespoons of water.
  3. Stir until a soft dough comes together, before turning out onto a heavily floured surface.
  4. Knead dough until stiff. Form into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside for at least a half an hour.
  5. Cut dough into 5 to 6 pieces.
  6. Using a pasta making machine or a roller, start working the dough. Roll out and then fold dough back up at least twice before rolling dough out to desired thickness and forming into desired shape.
  7. Cook the pasta immediately or leave on a lightly floured surface or hanging on a pasta rack to dry.
  8. If cooking immediately, throw prepared pasta into salted boiling water and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes.
