Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar with a mixer. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add the vanilla.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredient mix and mix just until incorporated. Do not over-mix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Using a spoon, place about 1 tablespoon of the cookie dough on the prepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Add a few more chocolate chips to the top of each cookie dough mound, if desired.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges are set and the middle is still slightly soft. Cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheets before removing to continue cooling.
