Chocolate pancakesChocolate pancakes!

What a great way to wake up on Christmas morning.  Pancakes just make mornings happier.

Especially when you top them with real maple syrup or a cranberry and mint topping or whatever your favorite topping is.

Chocolate PancakesDay 5 of the Simply Sophisticated Cooking 13-Day Holiday Challenge is a chocolate pancake gift bag.

Turning the chocolate pancakes into a gift pack is easy. Box all the mixed dry ingredients into a container. Keep the chocolate chips separate because you will need to melt those. Or of course, you could make chocolate chip chocolate pancakes! Add a small bottle of vanilla and the recipe card on the side and you have a completed chocolate pancake DIY gift.
