Simply Sophisticated Cooking | Natural Blue Dyed Easter EggsI love Deviled Egg Season. Well if I’m completely honest, it’s a love – hate relationship. I love deviled eggs but I tend to hate them before I’ve managed to use up all my seasonal hard boiled Easter eggs.

Deviled Egg Season is the days immediately following Easter where you struggle to come up creative ways to eat all the hard boiled eggs sitting in your fridge. And your gag reflex kicks in at the thought of eating one more hard boiled egg.

You know the time of year I’m talking about!

I admit I binge on deviled eggs when I make them. There’s just something about the creamy goodness of a perfectly filled and flavored egg that I just love. I also just realized that I haven’t shared a single one of my deviled egg recipes with you guys. It’s mainly because I never write them down. The recipes are locked up nice and safe in my head.

Well, I’m not going to share one of my deviled egg recipes today either because I have to take the time to make, measure and write down my recipes. Last I checked, most of you don’t like those recipes that call for a pinch of this and sprinkle of that or a whole handful of whatever. LOL.

My grandmother was the best for giving out those type of recipes. And then when I’m asking for a better measurement, she would laugh and say “oh you know, just a handful.” No, Grandma, I didn’t know.  And a couple of her recipes today are still a mystery to me.

So while I don’t have a recipe to share with you today, we did compile an awesomely, tasty list of 17 deviled egg recipes from some other talented cooks for you to use and drool over. And although I’m not sharing a deviled egg recipe, I can give you tips for cooking up the perfect hard boiled egg.
